Shasta/Tehema ARES Weekly Winlink Net

Introduction.

Instructions on use of Shasta/Tehema ARES Weekly Winlink Net check in Template
The current Shasta/Tehema ARES Weekly Winlink Net Check-in template expands the the one that has been used for several years.

This version adds several optional new fields that can be filled in to provide more information on check-ins and paths to send your check in.
Viewing how others are reaching winlink gateways is always instructive.

If you click the "Check only if this entry is for an EOC" checkbox, two new fields for EOCs appear

  • EOC Name:
  • EOC Station Call

If you select Session Type "AREDN Telnet Winlink" you will see two new fields to assit others in finding that AREDN node

  • AREDN Channel Width:
  • Lat-Long of AREDN Node:

You will also notice that at the bottom of the page there are and buttons.

When Save check-in Data is clicked, the data in all the fields that you have filled in are saved to disk.

The "Load Check-in data" button on a fresh form will load the form data from a previously saved data file..

How can this be useful?

You can create a complex check-in and save the data for reuse the next week or at a later time. It can save a lot of typing and can be a reminder of the way you reached a gateway to check in.
